Patricia Bustos and Frigicoll, prize winners at the 6th Casa Decor Awards 2018.

The award ceremony of the 6th Casa Decor Awards 2018 was held last week, in one of the most successful editions of the prestigious interior design fair, held in Madrid.

During the event, which was held at the headquarters of the COAM, the Judges and General Public awards were presented, as well as two very special awards: The Special Award and the Professional Achievement Award.

Osadía (“Daring”) kitchen-diner received the Judges’ Award for the Best Project of 2018, a space created by the interior designer Patricia Bustos de la Torre in collaboration with Frigicoll and its domestic electrical appliances De Dietrich, Falmec and Liebherr. The designer has reflected in this fresh and original space, which explores the frontier between East and West, celebrating the exoticism and nature of Japan, in her most personal style. A project that caught the imagination of the panel of judges and that reflects perfectly Patricia’s passion for her work.

Among the awards whose winners were chosen by the public and with the hashtag #MiFotoCasaDecor2018, was the most widely photographed space. This award also went to the Osadía kitchen-diner. “Rebel Kitchen” came out as the public’s favourite space – photographs of it have flooded social networks.

This brought to a close this 53rd Edition of Casa Decor, a great showcase for Spanish interior design where we have seen the latest trends on display when it came to decorating the spaces in personal ambiences full of style.
